TERMS OF BUSINESS

Meadowbank School of Motoring will provide a driving instructor in accordance with the code approved by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).

The instructor will provide a car fit for the purpose. The instructor will be responsible to ensure that safe driving takes place throughout the period of lessons.

Lesson times will be agreed between the pupil and instructor throughout the duration of training.

The instructor will at all times behave in a professional manner towards his/her pupil.

Pupils will be treated with respect and consideration throughout the period of training.

The instructor will try to avoid physical contact with the pupil except in an emergency, or in the normal course of greeting.

A theory practice computer is available free of charge subject to availability, an appointment is essential.

Lessons will be conducted as far as possible in accordance with the recommended syllabus published by the Driving Standards Agency.

Whilst reserving the right to decide against giving tuition, the instructor will not act in anyway which contravenes legislation.

Where a problem between the pupil and instructor occurs, the pupil and instructor have the right to change to a preferred alternative.

Complains should in the first instance be referred to the instructor. If no agreement is reached the matter should be referred to the driving school (request a copy of the Schools Complaint Procedure).

The instructor will safeguard and account for any money paid in advance by the pupil in respect of lessons, test fees or for any other purpose and will make details available to the pupil on request (cash book).

In the event of an instructor change, any money due to the pupil for outstanding lessons will be transferred to the new instructor.

A current price list will be made available to the pupil on request.

An approved pupil record sheet/track record will be maintained by the instructor and will be discussed with the pupil from time to time.

The terms under which cancellation by either party will take place, may be 48 hours notice where the lesson will be rearranged, less than the notice or no show by the pupil may result in the lesson being charged.

Lessons cancelled by the instructor will be rearranged.

Part lessons will be charged for the full hour or any part there of.
